'95 E320 - code 6
I have a discovered that my engine light is on because of a code 6 (on-board diagnostic) Idle speed control inoperative. This light has been on for approximately two months and 6000kms. My car runs perfect with no idle, hesistation or any other issues. I had the code read by a MB dealer who claims that the throttle valve acuator needs replacing. They even say that they confirmed it is this part. Would I not be having some issues if this part was faulty and are there other parts I should look at? I am just tired at looking at this light on the dash. Thanks for your help.

Code 6 at DM simply means a fault has been from the ISC system that could effect emmissions standards and that info has been sent over to the DM.
Now you want to go over to the EA/CC module and see exactly what fault/s have been detected. It could be as simple as a cable adjustment to a bad ISC or wire harness. You can get that info at connector #14 on the DM box with a simple Led/Sw tool... http://members.aol.com/ajdalton7/ledtool.jpg |

1994 e320 check engine light
I had the car in to our local dealer and they report code 022 CC/EA. What does this indicate? I will make the tool as per your specs as soon as possible. I also had a code 12 on the DM which cleared after I replaced the O2 sensor. What and where is the CC/EA module?

EA flash code info is at pin # 14.
Build the tool and get the codes yourself. Report back your findings..there is no flash code 022 on EA/CC ..that is a HHT code for the Dealer HHTscanner. Get the Flash code. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=107630 Last edited by Arthur Dalton; 09-29-2007 at 12:51 PM. |
