'95 E320 - code 6

I have a discovered that my engine light is on because of a code 6 (on-board diagnostic) Idle speed control inoperative. This light has been on for approximately two months and 6000kms. My car runs perfect with no idle, hesistation or any other issues. I had the code read by a MB dealer who claims that the throttle valve acuator needs replacing. They even say that they confirmed it is this part. Would I not be having some issues if this part was faulty and are there other parts I should look at? I am just tired at looking at this light on the dash. Thanks for your help.
