Just bought a 260e

Just got it a few weeks ago and I have a few problems with it. The blower motor doesn't work, the rear driver's side window doesn't roll down, the engine temp sensor occasionally goes all the way up past 120, but then comes back down instantly. Sometimes it'll stick there for a few minutes. Uh, the dash doesn't light up. The rear headrests don't do anything. I believe the switch is stuck. And the crazy thing is that the AM radio and tape deck work, but not the FM. I think that's it. Thanks for any help.

Check fuses
Check fuses
Get a new one
Turn the rheostat a few times to make sure it isn't corroded - probably need a new one
They only go down, you have to lift them up yourself
Lousy radio to begin with - get a rebuilt($$$) or a replacement ($-$$$$)

PS: include the year to your signature, and add your location to your profile - makes things easier.
PPS: Congrats on your "new" Benz!

Where's the rheostat at? Are the fuses all underneath the hood? I looked for them briefly the day I bought the car, but I've been sort of busy since then.

Also, what octane gas should I use? It was tapping on the way home when I bought it, but then I put in whatever the highest there was at the gas station and it hasn't happened again.

Is oil consumption normal? I haven't noticed any leaks, but when I bought it, I checked the oil and it was a little low. I added a quart and the light went off. It's been about three weeks and today the light came back on. I was thinking about using synthetic oil. I heard that when you start using synthetics on higher mileage vehicles you can develop leaks. Is 109,000 too high to start?

Thanks for the help!
