Spark Plug...US tables incorrect for Euro
My euro engine has a label on it with spark plug rec.
Says Bosch W7D Seems the US engine takes bosch W8D I ordered NGK BP5ES I found a cross ref table http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/pages/technical/boschw5a-y6dc.htm says the bosch W7D translates into a different NGK BP6ES It would seem the NKG equiv to the bosch is the 6ES Will the 5ES not work as well? I wonder if Rusty will exchange them for correct part Really is quite hard to buy Euro parts even if you add a note that the engine is a Euro & if any parts are different to update.. I would assume its best to install the recommended plug... Should I return them/ get correct...is there big diff in these plugs? Does my engine run w a cooler plug? Seems higher NGK number is cooler http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinfo/spark_plugs/partnumberkey.pdf Would my engine at 196K be ok or better w a hotter plug? Thanks ![]()
