No heat on 2004 E500
I have a 2004 E500 and have never had the heat on untill recently. I was driving up from Florida to Tennessee and needed heat and found out that I have none. It seeems like the air got colder with the heat on. I have tried to check for vacuum leaks or anything obvious, but not caught my attention. Any help would be appreciated.

Common failure on the W211 E-class. $50 heater valve failure, takes about 1.5-2 hrs to install. Service bulletin on problem, replacement part is improved.

I just fixed another W211 2004 e500 with a bad heater valve. It took about 2 hours to do the job. Valve is nice and cheap at 45$. Be careful removing the windshield wiper cover as the clips break during the removal process and I had to replace 5 of the 8 clips.
