560SEL fuel pump

my '86 560sel's fuel pump is getting noisier. it's gone from a loud hiss to a whizzing sound (no it's not taking a pee!!)

is my fuel pump getting ready to quit?

also, parts site says it has TWO fuel pumps? are they both located under the car near the back right wheel?

I had to replace the fuel pump on my 126 gas car awhile back. Single pump, but same principle as the dual-pump 126 cars.

In the following thread I list off all items that were changed as well as the pump. From my perspective, you may as well change everything down there while you are at it. These are all fuel system parts.

Ignore the pointer in the thread to the braingears.com web site. At one time you could get just about all of the repair doc needed for a 126 car at this site.

******** is the best deal for a qaulity pump.. all the inline fuel pumps suck in my opinion but bosch is the best to get. ive been through quite a few ..now im gonna stop being cheap and go with high qaulity .. beck-arnley/bosch... make sure to get new fuel filter
