Shaky Steering on CLK430
Hi Folks, I have tried what I know to replace to solve this problem and would like your help before calling the $tealership. I have a 2002 CLK430 with 43K miles. The steering wheel shakes at 60MPH with less shake at higher speeds (barely noticable at 80MPH+), it isnt a bad shake but any is too much. To help isolate the problem I have replaced parts in this order: Steering Damper (was worn out), Rotors & Brakes (front and rear) All new tires (Potenza RE750's) and had all four tires and wheels Road Balanced on a Hunter 9700. Thanks!

I had a similar problem ...
my 1997 E320. Did all the stuff you did. Turned out to be the lower front contol arm bushings. Unfortunately I have heard that the bushings aren't sold by themselves any longer and the arms are replaced.
