In need of some help with parts for my 722.400

Hi guys and gals

I started a rebuild of my 722.400 transmission, and after tearing down everything, cleaning it all out, naturally I started to put it back together.

I opened my seal kit (PN: 201 270 48 01) and started looking for teflon rings for the accumulator body pistons, I did not find any, "okay" I said, I'll go to the dealer and get them.

I spent about an hour at the dealer trying to find the teflon rings for the accumulator body pistons without any luck. I also wanted to see if there is an updated B2 Piston guide made of plastic, like for the 722.3 transmissions to eliminate any B2 problems, again, no help at all. The parts guy asked me to bring in my diagrams of the valve body to see if he could find them for me. I came back a few days later with my diagrams and showed him the pistons and the teflon rings I need, but again no luck.

Now I'm stuck, I have a 22 y/o old transmission that I need to put back together, but I don't want to use old teflon rings or seals, because this is why I took it apart to begin with, it was leaking really bad.

I asked the parts guy if he could order the rings for me if I gave him a part number, he said sure, but he can't be sure if they are still around, but he could always order me a brand new valve body for the tranny, which, I'm sure costs a lot more then just the teflon rings.

I need some help guys, when I showed the parts guy the manual I was using, he said "hey this is great, but it's probably aftermarket", if it is aftermarket or not, I don't know, but it has all the updates listed for the transmission, along wiht part numbers for the specialty tools, if it had part numbers for the rings, I would not be posting obviously... but no luck there. Just to be clear, I actually have 2 manuals, one definately aftermarket, the other says it was printed in germany and has the same format as the manual for eveything else I have for my MB, so I'm preatty sure it's MB material.

Now my manual does not actually show the teflon rings seperately, it shows them on the pistons, so I asked the guy if he could find any of the 4 pistons, he couldn't.

So, I'm out of luck.

Would any of you parts pros know of perhaps a seal kit for the Vavle body for a 722.400 transmission, I have the Version 2 valve body, or a diagram with part numbers of the teflon rings?

I gathered everything else to get this project done, even made specialty tools of my own, but this... I did not see coming, and now I can't find a way out, and I really don't want to use old teflon rings, which, as my after market manual states, must be replaced.

HELP! Please

Go on to the MB parts website, pay your 3 dollars for a month and start exploring, I was there last night for a 722.410 190E 16v tranny and all the parts are there, you just have to have the time and know what you are looking for.
Website is the same MB uses and the part numbers are all updated.

$3, I'd pay that right away...

Only it won't let me cause I live in Canada and I have a Canadian address on the credit card.
