Anyone ever try this product????
 O.K. so I got this old 280CE from ebay, I figure it's been sitting for 10 yrs or more. I got fuel problems can't get fuel to engine. So I pull fuel hose at tank and got drips of gas. I ran screwdrive through screen and got better up to a tricle. So the stariner is clogged and I am sure the tank is nasty with rust crudge alge varish etc...Options get new tank (where and how much ?) Or clean the tank I have at least it don't leak. I found this on internet: http://www.stoprust.net/POR-15-Fuel-Tank-Repair-Kit-p-11.html Anyone ever use this product before? I don't want to be replaceing filters and fuel pump in the future becasue of bad tank.

I have used someof their products. they are good, but you MUST follow the directions exactly. They make a good tank product.

I used the POR-15 tank sealer on my motorcycle tank. It was rusted inside and the rust got through the tank screen and clogged the carbs. I think the tank sealer worked VERY well. Now I don't need to keep the tank completely full of gas at all times.
The crud and rust removal would be a pretty involved project for the size of the tank in the car. You could tank the tank to a radiator shop and have them clean it out for you. Then use the POR-15 metal ready, dry the tank with a heat gun and seal it.

to effectively use the POR fuel tank product does the tank have to come out of the car?

Even if you find a product that says you dont need to remove the tank, I would anyhow. You will want to take it to a radiator shop that has the ability to boil it out to clean all the crud out of it. At least wash it out very well first and you need to take it out to do that. If you try to seal over the muck inside it will not work and you will have lots of troubles with filters clogging up later.
