190e 2.3 '91 lights wont turn off and car stalling when humid.

Hello,

The problem is that only the low beams wont turn off. Even after I remove my key.

So far for the light what I was doing is either remove the two fuses for the headlight or unplug the battery.

I've looked around and what I can understand, the problem for the light would either be a relay or the light switch but I think it is the switch since I've been able (2 times ) to turn the light off when I play with the switch. So from what I've found on the forums I could use Caig De-ox (http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=174617&highlight=light+relay)

What I'm not sure to understand is if I spray this in, I guess I have to remove the switch ( by that I mean the physical roulette ).

And if it doesn't work, how hard is it to replace the switch? Can I do it myself or should I go to a garage to change it? I prefer the first option if possible due to financial reasons.

Also for the car stalling. It stall when its either humid or raining only at idle. From what I've read it would be the coil I have to change. (Follow the spark plugs to the distributor then follow the top cable from the distributor to the coil). If that would be the problem, what is exactly the name of the coil so I can research on it?

Thank you.

The relay isn't located in the switch thankfully. I would assume it is in the fuse box with the other relays.

If the lights won't shut off even with the key removed, it is probably the light relay although it could also be the ignition switch combined with a light circuit issue.

Honestly, I don't think that DeOxit is going to help the relay much. Sounds like the contacts are melted closed or the thing is mechanically stuck. Probably want to go to a junkyard and pull a replacement.

Can anybody confirm the relay is in the fuse box. I dont want to start pulling relays without knowing what they do. The fuse box chart isnt any help explaining which fuse is which.
