95 c280 water temp sensor connector removel
How does the electrical connector come off these sensors do I need a special tool. The connectoe looks like it clips over the circular part of the stem on the sensor and the connector has two slots like an electrical outlet on top of it are these slots the release?I tried squeezing the sides where the lil ribs are but no help thanks in advance.

Arther are you sure I worried I'll break it and require an engine harness in case it does break can that connector be replaced...

There are 3 different temp sensors..which one are you talking abouit??
The single and two wire ones have little tabs on the sides that you release as you stated, but if you squeeze too low , you are not releasing the tab..that is why they are easier to just pull off..but you can also use a small screwdriver to release each tab. Try that on the single wire one [ Temp gauge sensor] and once you have it off you will see he mechanics involved on the tabs The Injection one should just pull off ..it just has a ring clip that snaps on. Do a search on "Wire Harness.."
I would also give the fuses a spin in their holders....... |
