Talking how to remove 190 inst. cluster?

I'm new to mercedes & this forum. found a 87 190d that is almost perfect, only the odometer does not work. bought a CD (service manual),that won't load in my computer-now-I have ordered a paper-serv. manual. I don't want to break any plastic @ the instr. area, i'm sure I can fix it-if I get it out(once had to fabricate a tiny plastic gear for a porsche). auto. trans. was shifting hard--found a vacuum line off & broken-replaced it--now trans. shifts good. orig.becker radio-plays good, but speakers sound poor.---it runs better every day--amazing--as good as my 06 van.(but only uses HALF the fuel) @ daytona to pierson runs.
