E420 code P0432 after new aftermarket passenger side Cat
Hi all, I am getting a P0432 code just 2 weeks after replacing a passenger side Catalytic converter. The New Passenger side Cat is not on an original OEM, but an aftermarket dual converter setup ($399). The Drivers side was previously replaced with a used unit from a wreck with only 40k on it only 2 years ago. In addition, under hard accelleration I am getting some "knock/ping" which seems to be coming from the drivers side directly in front of me. Any clues? Recommendations? Should I replace the Drivers Cat with a new aftermarket to match the one just replaced or should I go with another used OEM unit? Or could it be the O2 sensors? All of them were replaced on both sides 2 years ago with the 1st Cat? I cannot see paying 15% of the value of the car to replace 1 bank of Cats (just cheap I guess). Car is a 1997 with 130K in good shape. Is the P0432 code Drivers side or Passenger? What should be the next step? Thanks Eric in Mesa AZ

That code means that the LEFT side catalyst isn't working.
