My 1983 240D rides and looks great on 195/70R14's. However while rebuilding my $500 85 300D I always wondered if the 205 /70 R 14's were not the original tires--I think they were scrap tires from a junkyard. What tires should I use on a 300D Turbo--195/70 R 14's or 205/70 /R14's?

I am about to buy new tires tomorrow. For some reason I think the 195R 14's are correct for the 85 300D Turbo.
