Good evening, I am trying to restore a 1975 240d with
131,000 on it. It did run, but previous owner said it was hard to start. When I got it, it would not start. I have put in new glow plug, filters etc. The injectors are ok and I see a fine mist coming out of them. I checked the compression tonight and it is the following: 1-125, 2-123, 3-126 and 4 was 127 I understand i need at least 300 for the engine to start??? where do I go from here???? I would like to know what to check or look for to correct the low compression??? tks, Don |
