MPG for a 1984 euro 230E w123 body with only 50k on the motor?
whats the ave for this heavy 4 banger? i have seen 17mpg to 23mpg for all types of different sources....but nothing on what its supose to get stock?
playing with things i can get anywhere from 14mpg-17mpg......any input....new filter and pump oc mix is the only thing that changes it for me and it has to run real lean to get the 17mpg.

I used to get 22/23 highway with my 123 280 euro with five speed od and 369 rear end.
iirc, 15/16 around town. I would think that car would get better if a stick. If an automatic it would surely do 20 highway if things were right. Are you runing stock sized tires? have you checked the odometer against the highway markers? have you run compression tests? are you sure you are not dragging a brake? Tom W

I'd guess that you'd see 23 on the highway.
