Hope the title is not too long.
What parts should be replaced, or would be a good idea(convenience factor) to replace when you have a engine out for a rebuild. The engine is being rebuilt for me as a long block which will be returned with a rebuilt water pump, heads with the valve covers on, also with the oil pan on. So far I have thought of the following list: Distributor cap, rotor, points Spark Plugs Spark Plug wires Engine mounts Oil filter Radiator hoses and coolant Drive belts Can anyone think of anything else? What will be the gaskets that I will need? I know I will need intake gaskets, and exhaust gaskets. Is there a gasket on the oil filter housing, anywhere else? Thanks for any input. Steve |
