1991 190e 2.3 short circuited fuel pump. How does one reset the fuel pump circuitry?

I had a fuel leak at the fuel pump. I had the car running and when I put the wrench to the connection I hit one of the wires by accident. The car stopped immediately. Now there is no electricity to the fuel pump. How do I reset the circuit?

You replace the component/s that were damaged. Should just be just a fuse. When the system has good parts it works, there is no reset.

Check the fuse(s) on your OVP, and make sure the fuel pump relay is not shot. Both are located behind the battery; just remove the plastic wall and you will see them. The OVP usually has a red top and at least one fuse under a cover on top. The relay is a black component just to the left of it.
