85 500SEL 12 Pin Connector to ACC Pushbutton Unit

While removing the climate control pushbutton unit to do some resoldering, the cap for the pin connector on the left (temperature wheel) side came loose and all the wires fell out of the sockets. I have looked through the service manuals and searched the forums, but I cannot find any information on the color codes for the wires on this particular unit. Any help would be appreciated as I have no idea how to determine where these wires go!
Thanks!

Lightbulb 500SEL 12 Pin answer

I figured out the wiring which should apply to other w126 climate controls:

1. black/violet
2. brown
3. black/white
4. black/yellow/blue
5. black/green
6. black/yellow/red
7. brown/blue
8. yellow
9. brown/black
10. black/red/violet
11. blue/violet
12. black/red (double wire)

I sincerely hope this never happens to anyone else as this is a seriously tedious troubleshooting proccess. Then again, it is the climate control--I shouldn't expect any different.

I believe the the wiring diagram on the factory CD will identify the connector pin configuration by wire color.
