Comparing your costs to those in the US is pretty meaningless. Ysin keeps telling us how people work for nothing in Singapore.

I deal with technicians from all over the world on a number of sites. I know a number from down under and their costs are as high or higher than in the states. If your getting a great deal I only have to feel for the poor technician. It's highly unlikely that you would get MB parts cheaper than in the US. Maybe used or Taiwan parts.

And BTW, do you get paid in US$ or something else?

Not trying to be difficult or any thing it is just interesting to see the difference in costs, I usually drool at the numbers you guys get things for aand if our dollar was better maybe I would come over there and buy up on some bits.
The prices that were quoted by the chap with the 300te was comparable to what the factory techs wanted here also, Its Just that I was lucky with Sam khoury haveing access to a used Box with low mileage and he was happy to give it to me at a good price. Nothing wrong with that I have clients that give me Bussiness often and send referals so every now and again you do the right thing(Im sure on occassions you would do the same in your bussiness also Steve- it cheap PR look at the mileage you get) As I said down here we are often green with envy at what you all have up there both in cost of ownership and purchasing power of cars, its nice to know we get the odd bargain also.
Steve no offece intended just harmful comparissons, thats all.
Regards
BB

the pin your are talking about in the previous post where does it go? I changed out my shift solenoid and this little metal pin fell in the transmission oil pan and I could not figure out where is goes. Now my car will reverse but U put it in drive it will not go. Do you think it's that pin?

Well, everybody tells you to do a search before asking a question. This must be the first thing he found. Besides, the information is still relevant.
