Resetting the Drive Authorization System DAS
Does anyone know how to reset this? I think I have accidently tripped it trying to change the adaptions on the ECM using the old OBD I method on the 38 pin plug (which I wasn't suppose to do), and now the car will not start...at all. Cranks but no fuel!! I am the owner, have the right key etc. There must be someway to disable it without going to the dealer. Reminds me of the early W124 radios that you had to go back to the dealer and pay them to unlock it after you disconnected your battery...for whatever reason.

yes....same problem...BUT, when I looked again at the fuses, this time using the tool to actually remove them I saw that 2 had blown. Replaced them and the car starts but runs very rough and won't idle. I'm hoping the MAS is the problem. Thanks for the reply. Lesson: don't just look at spade fuses in their holder..they must be removed!!

2000 Mercedes ML320 Drive Authorization System
Will any of the remote start bypasses(or anything else)successfully bypass a faulty transponder ring?
