Help On Fuel Pump Troubleshooting

89 190E 2.6

Trying to troubleshoot no start. I have one main question and one secondary question.

As I am facing the engine from the front of the car looking at the fuel distributor; the line coming from the fuel pumps is on the rear side of the fuel distributor; correct? (nearest to firewall). The other line going to regulator is the return. Am I correct so far?

So when I jump ports 7/8 at fuel relay the pump(s) come on (or I think both do but I am not sure if its both) there is no fuel coming out of the fuel line going into the back side of the fuel distributor.

Does this mean I definitely have a fuel pump or accumulator problem? since fuel is not making it there?

Thanks
