88 260e STALLS after warm up
I have a 1988 260e that stalls after warm up(idling or driving)and will not restart until it has cooled off. Outside Air temp 20F- 40F Has spark and appears to have fuel pressure before the fuel distributer, but not at the injector feed lines? Looking for some helpful ideas so I don't waste all my time freezing my toes off in GOD"S GARAGE. Thanks

Hi, hope this helps
1. bad ovp 2. No speed signal from cis-e control unit- check voltage between socket 6 and ground with ignition on roll vehicle foward and backward, value should osciliate between 0 and 12 with consumers off(things drawing juice) with consumers on it should be 0-9 3. hall effect sensor and cable from hall effect sensor to connector x26(location on service disc) to terminal 11 for continuity and isolation from ground 4. Check cabke routing from hall effect sensor to x5/1(on the wall next to brake pedal) check for the obivous such as vacuuim leaks, bad fuel pumps.

Does it crank, but not start?
Add to your checklist: Crank Sensor/Crankshaft Position Sender
