Transmission Application
I have a 1989 300E with a 2.6 engine. The automatic transmission is toast. I can get a transmission from a 1990 300E with a 3L engine. I have been told it wil fit/will not fit by an equal number of people. Can someone give a definite answer on this one ? I know the seller and the transmission was rebuilt 3 months before the car was written off. The only difference on the outside is the 90 trans has a shift delay solenoid on the front left.
Thanx, Graham. |

It will fit & work, BUT you will also need the front driveshaft section & adapt the wiring for the neutral safety switch.
