Unhappy 190e Cold Start and Rough Idle

I have a 1990 190e 2.6 and I live in North Dakota. When it gets semi cold here, about 0 deg F, the car won't start unless I pump the gas. Then if will fire, and the rpms jump to about 1000 and then it dies and I have to try and start it again. Then once I get it started it idles really low and kind of pulses going up and down, and once it is warm it idles low in drive and the car shakes.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong here, I want to put in a remote start but I don't think that it will start for me. Is this normal or should it just start up. Please help.

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps.
