I took my e320 in to have the rear sway bar (a 500e upgrade) put in as i've done it before on my 1989 and didn'tt have much fun doing it.
My mechanic says that it's a 3 hour job to remove and drop all the suspension, remove the fuel pipe that runs along the sway bar area and drain the tank....blah blah blah.
Basically he does not want to do it.
I did this at home on my last car, took about 4 hours with my hand tools and granted, it was a pain in the butt but it was doable without draining the tank and dropping all the suspension?
Questions:
Is the e320 that different than an 89 300e in the rear sway bar installation?
Has anyone done this rear sway bar swap themselves on an e320? Any tips?
Thanks!
