2000 c230 amateur spark plug change

Amateur summary of changing out the plugs today.
Time = 1.5 hrs (slow as Xmas but careful as H.E. double hockey sticks)
Tools: Bosch platinum plugs, socket wrench set, allen wrench and anti-seize goop.

The only bit of challenge was the very farthest spark plug coil was nestled
a bit under some sort of plastic overhang. Slightly harder to remove at an angle. Other than that, just took my time.

Anybody else wonder why in the sam hill Mercedes painted these valve covers?

PICS if interested:
Red cover off:

Two connectors off:

All removed:

Condition of old plugs:

Have fun.

Correct me someone if I'm wrong, but platinums are a no-no for these motors....
