Is this my OVP relay?
Is this my Overvoltage Protection Relay, I am working on my wifes 1993 190e 2.6? She is having cold start problems.

it's definitely an ovpr, whether it is the correct one or not I couldn't say. Are you having a problem that seems like it could be cause by your ovp?

Very hard starting when cold, fuel pressure tested good, new plugs, cap rotor, wires.
The picture on the bottom would be the part I would get if I ordered one from ********e, but does not look like mine. |

OVP relay arrived today, installed it, tried to start the car, Yippy started right up. Also noticed that the last time the Battery was replaced, the battery was set on the accessory wire coming from the + battery terminal.
It had worn through the insulation but I do not think it had shorted out or there should of been some serious arcing/fire, there was no fuse between the worn insulation and Battery. Thank you so much for all your help. |
