W126 1989 W126 560 SEL Parallel Flow Condenser conversion
Has anyone here done a parallel flow condenser conversion? The condensers at ACKits.com seem to be reasonably priced, but if anyone has done this, share your experience. Problem areas I see are
1. Size and fit (how do you mount it? What size do you buy? What about all else that attaches?) 2. Custom hoses (ACKits.com said they'd make the hoses for $50 or so.) ALSO: I have successfully done an expansion valve job on the car a few years ago after a shop did a sloppy 134a conversion. But now the compressor is getting noisy (this was to be expected over time - no surprise or complaint). I am thinking of doing this whole thing at once - replace the compressor and install parallel flow. However I have never flushed the system since the 134a conversion four years ago (it must have been flushed then though). Can I flush it myself? Is there a way of doing a DIY flushing job without buying hundreds of $ worth of toys, I mean tools? The compressor still works, so I don't think we have failed parts running through the system. Thanks for any advice!
