W124 heat problem

Hello,

I have a 1987 230te...Euro import...

Such an awesome car with the exception of few 'glitches'. Biggest problem is the heat. I don't even know here to start.

I don't have any climate control or anything, all manual with two wheels for temperature and a knob for fan speed.

If i turn the dials all the way to max heat and teh fan up to any level other than 'off' I get cold air BLIASTING from the center vents, while I get some warm air trickling from the outside vents. The warm air can't even begin to keep up with the amount of air coming out of the center vents so there is essentially no heat in the car.

Any ideas are much appreciated!!!
