What year is your car? Why not drop a 5 litre motor in? Its all the same, intake exhaust etc. I have always wanted to do that.

Even the fuel computer is the same (I used to have a 500E with a Renntech Ecu, and to get it to pass NY emmissions we would put a 400E computer in the car- ran fine)

There are plenty of 5 litre engines out there, try car-parts.com

The M119's are well known to be a robust engine. May I ask what happened ?

Doesn't need to be a 500E engine. 500SL engine or 500SEL engine, they are all pretty similar, whatever is cheapest and best.

You need a '93 or later engine with LH fuel injection and before they went to coil on plug ignition, don't ask me when that was on a 129 SL or 140 SEL/SEC, you'll need to do your research, probably '96.
