Trunk Locking System-doesn't open doors

Trunk Locking System-doesn't open doors

my 92 500sl trunk lock will not open the
driver or passenger door. locking either
the driver or passenger door will lock and
un lock all doors including the trunk but
the trunk lock will not lock or unlock any
of the doors. any ideas?
