Help, 190E 1990 2.6 blowing hot air from side and top vents

The heater in my car is constantly blowing out hot air from the side and top vents even when i turn on the a/c. the a/c is cool, but the side vents continue to blow out hot air. any suggestions?

its a 190E 1990 2.6. just had the a/c fixed a few weeks ago, its just the heater is stuck on and wont turn off

See if your monovalve is disconnected, or if you have a blown fuse (inspect fuses very closely!!).

Easy way to check monovalve......

.... with the car up to temp and running, do a check of the heater hose temp.

Feel the return hose(on pax side) and if it's hot, the monovalve is passing coolant.

Why? Either it's not getting closure power, or the rubber is torn.

Do a search. As has been said, much is written....

Vacuum controlled heater valve

Look for broken or disconnected vacuum lines.
