Bosch Euroheadlight

Hello...

I just got a pair of bosch euroheadlights for 123 chasis that I wanted to install into my new to me 1985 300D. I would appreciate diagram of the 5-pin connectors. I have installed Bosch euros for 126 chasis but 123 seem somewhat different(?). I used the same 126 diagram on W123 but it wouldnt light up...
Thanks

I went through this for a W201 a little while ago and was also scratching my head. It dawned on me that the wiring is set up with a common ground for the bulbs in the main assembly. First figure out which pin that is.

The marker light should have its own signal wire and ground (and won't care which one is which).

Once you know which one is ground (eyeball it), the others, by trial and error should be the low beam, high beam and city light.

If you're testing with a live wire, make sure you've got a small fuse inline with it. It's better to melt the fuse than melt the wire or its insulation.

Thanks CTH...

I am not sure I got what you just explained. I may not have versed my questions clearly. Here is what I am trying to say...

I am looking for schematics

pin
#1 empty
#2 brown/brown
#3 city light(any color since its optional)
#4 white
#5 yellow
#6 grey/green stripe

This is the schematic connection I used on 126.

My question is... is this schematics the same on 123 chasis. Help please!

Thanks

You can figure this out yourself by looking inside and notinging out where the wires go.

In any case, for ALL German vehicles ...

Yellow is low beam headlight
White is high beam headlight
Brown (earth) is ground
Something gray is the park light.
