Tie rod ends
2 Attachment(s)
How do these tie rod ends look to you guys?
If they need replacing, do you normally just replace the ends or the entire tie rod assembly? Thanks. |
When the boot splits open & water gets into the joint, it will be ruined.

If the joint is still tight the boot can be replaced and the joint lubed. Those look like they may not have totally failed yet (the boots), so it may be a candidate for new boots.
Though the tie rod assemblies and ends are not very expensive. Often the outer joint will not come out of the threaded sleeve and it makes it nearly manditory to replace the assembly. Tom W |
