1986 300e

Just bought a 1986 300E and the car feels like it floating all over the place when driving down the road, what is the deal? I dont think it is the shocks. The blower really doesnt blow that much even when it is on high, what should I look at? The back windows do not work, Fuse? I also have some rust on the jack holes, is there something I can do to fix that? Thankyou for all of your help.

Worn rear axle links can cause the rear of the car to "walk" back & forth at speed OR when you accelerate & decel.

The blower control is electronic, could be the electronic regulator.

I had worn links and the car would do a rear end wiggle when shifting gears under power.

The blower regulator is under the blower, which is under the wiper, which is under the black plastic cover below and in front of the windshield.

Check the wiring diagram, there is a plug for the regulator just inside the brake booster, you can jump to the high blower mode at this plug.

Is the E a "Six"? You will be able to compare the performance of the W124 with
both the Gas and Diesel for us!

I had three windows not working....

....two were the regulator motor ($$) and the other one was just the switch (cheap).

Hate to tell you, I doubt it's a fuse, but if your lucky, maybe only the switch.
