I've had good luck using the combination polish/cleaners that have a petroleum base. Not as aggressive as rubbing compound (I'd try the fine polishing compound and then rubbing compound).

I use WD40 and a plastic putty knife to get all the residue off. Have a bunch of rags handy so as not to let much of the WD run down the car.
On another note, I was wondering if I could charge the dealer for the free advertising they try to get. ![]()
