Pulse Spark Plugs

I ran across an advertisement for these plugs in this months Boating magizine. Has anyone tired/heard of this technology? Its completely new to me and as we all know, you can rarely trust an advertisers claims on performance.

In my case a full set for my 450SL-C would run me over $200

I have no idea... sticking a capacitor inside the spark plug sounds like a good thing, but I wonder what it would do to the car's electronics...

I would be tempted to stick a set on the BMW to see what happens. The Suburban doesn't get driven much these days...

Underwhelming evidence that it may work better than regular spark plugs.

Sounds like snake oil to me, unless you can personally find a user of these plugs to verify.. "Joe B says "They're great"" doesn't cut it..

Just MHO...

Kind of reminds me of those capacitor wires they sold a while back. Same claims, dubious results. Sounds like they just moved the capacitor down one more component to see if they can hook a few more suckers.

Spark plugs are miracles in their own right. There is not one use for capacitors in plugs. Spark plugs provide a gap to spark. Cold spark plugs are good for highway use and hot are good for city use.
A Capacitor's job is the hydraulic equilivant to an accumulator. I see no reason to store energy inside a spark plug.

They might come in the same box as extra slippery oil

They are just a shiny metal version of snake oil. The spark plug's only job is to arc a spark across the gap, the rest of the reaction is all dependent on the design of the engine cylinder and how it spreads the flame kernel.
