Help needed for replacement of rear Control arms

I plan to replace both rear Control arms on my car W124 original from 1988.I never did it so far.

Is a wheel alignment mandatory or can they be replaced without?

In advance many thanks for replies and advices.

Always advisable to have alignment checked.

However replacement of the lower arm will have no affect on rear toe-in alignment.

Thanks you M.B.DOC for this quick reply.

May this repair modify the other two angles (camber ? and caster? ).
