There is actually a tool, sort of like a long set of pliers, that are used to grab and pull spark plug wires at the boot.

Assuming you are talking about cylinder #4, rear on the passenger side, it's a good idea to remove the wiring harness bracket just above it. I can't remember if it's one or two allen bolts that hold it down. In any case remove the bracket and the job becomes much easier. Handle the wiring harness with care, especially if it is the original.

ok great just what i was looking for. SO i cant get any of my wires out. My harness sits on top of my injector cradle. Do i need to remove that to get my wires out?? also they run thru the power steering fluid rez. I think that is what t is. I have a 95 sl500. If i do what am i in for as far as other issues. I have done all my plugs and rotors and cap.

He's already done the plugs, he's talking about removing/changing the wires. I'm not familiar with that exact model but haven't had trouble removing 119 motor wires before. Getting them back in place is another matter - ridiculous really. I'm of the opinion that one shouldn't worry about putting 119 motor back in exactly the fashion of the original factory treatment. But I'm jumping ahead - as I understand it you're just having trouble getting them out of the engine compartment. Can you provide a picture of the problem?
