Hi, I am in the process of fitting a non-original cruise control to my '88 250 Turbodiesel wagon. I had this particular unit installed in a w123 and it worked great - however, the back of the speedo is different on the w124, and there is already a sensor fitted.
![]() Any help would be appreciated! ![]() Kind regards from overseas... |

Sensor
mottakelse,
('Couldn't find any Danish on "Free Translation" , Norwegian might be a standby?) VDO-Siemens Speed Control Sensor; Idle/Cruise Control Impulse Sender at Rear of Instrument Cluster. In "View 1", in the picture, the large pin on the left? That's the speed sensor output for the Cruise Control. The other two pins are Power (positive) and Ground(negative). I don't know why the sensor is "Powered". Terminal 15 is Positive Terminal 31 is Negative

Hi and thanks, this is perfect - I am already warming up my soldering iron...! Don't worry about the lingo, norwegian works just fine....
![]() The firts links page you sent me didn't work, probably because I use Explorer with all the @#4!!!€ pop-up-blockers, I'll install a free-ware browser and look again. Thanks a lot for your fast help, I'll be back with a running report! Regards from sunny Denmark (21 degrees centigrade and a fresh wind...) ![]() |
