W140 -93 Car shakes when selecting D gear

W140 -93. The tranny was taken down and rebuilt 4 years ago. The oil and filter was changed 3 months ago, oil level is okay.

I bought the car after the tranny build, and I must say that gears works really good, no problem at all. Shifts really smooth.

But placing the car in D instead of P or N wil make it shake back and forth for a short while. It's hardly a second, but quite rough. It also happens when going from P or N to Reverse sometimes (more often then rare thought.)

I have a little high idle maybe, around 750. When selecting D gear, the idles rises as the car shakes... hm...

Any tips at all?
Is there something that I can check for my self? Before turning it in to a tranny shop.

You think it can be engine mounts? Because I already thinking of taking it to the dealer and get the mounts changed, they are probably bad...

My SDL used to shake so bad at idle... well, the ladies liked it...

Seriously though, check them out. You could be surprised.

Well, it's not like a vibration. It's more like a "clonk" that makes the car shake just when the D gear is chosen...

Anymore ideas?

Probably motor mounts or flex disk or both.

Take a look at the mounting bushings on the rear differential too.
