1997 E320, installing WigWag Lights on HighBeams

Would installing a wigwag module for Emergency vehicle lighting on my 1997 E320 possibly harm anything????? I noticed that this vehicle will display messages if you have a light out, so I'm wondering if Police wigwags installed on the highbeams might compromise something in the lighting system???

My job now requires that I have wigwags on my personal vehicle, unfortunately...

Any answer would be b greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance
