Sunshade/Rollerblind technical assistance
I am in the process of retrofitting a roller blind from a 500e into my '89 300e and have sourced all of the components with the exception of the wire harness. My question is how is the rollerblind linked to the headrests?
From information gathered from previous posts - the rear headrests will not drop if the rollerblind is not fully seated. According to the EPC the same wiring harness is listed for both the 124.030 and 124.036 ( p/n 124 540 31 13). Where are these 2 components linked? Was there a different style of roller blind used? What year was the split?

Just a bit off the main topic here, but does anybody know how to remove the roller blind on a W210?
Should I take out the back seat rest too? Then remove the entire back shelf? Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for it. I want to take off and check. It's not retracting properly. Maybe there is something I can do. Like clean the parts etc. |

And to move slightly farther off the main topic: I'd like to fit a manual rear window blind to a W123. What could I use?

Jett, I don't have the answer, but want to do the same thing with my 95 E300. I was going to wire it up simple. and not worry about the connection to the rear headrest circuit.
Did you ever get your answer, and wire it up? Thanks |
