98 SL500 Evaporator Replacement

Hello,

I've read a ton of threads here about replacing the evaporators on '90s era Mercedes and everyone seems to recommend the ACM evaporator. I also see a lot of information recommending copper tubed evaporators. In searching online for my part, I cannot find an ACM core with copper tubing - all of them are aluminum.

Question is - What brand of evaporator should I look for and what construction should it be? I really don't want to do this job twice and want to get the best part I can. The EPC shows the evaporator has been superseded twice - A 000 830 55 58 replaced by A 129 830 02 58 replaced by A 129 830 03 58 . Any chance that the latest mercedes part has fixed the problem?

Thanks a lot for your help and comments.
