Bleeding the Power steering pump on a 201 16V

I recently just had a complete rebuild of the timing chain assembly, which involved removing the timing chain cover. To do so involved removing the power steering pump, which had no previous issues. The reassembled car now has very limited if any power steering. We have rotated the steering wheel lock to lock in an attempt to bleed any air from the system, more than a few times....That seems to have helped a little, but only a very little...any trade secrets I need to know?

Car is a W201 16V auto.
