C280, 1995 purge valve/regeneration valve -gas tank pressure wierd problem

Hello.
I read the archives in the past and just now on this valve.
About 2 yrs ago I got a code regarding the purge valve. I cleaned it with wd-40 and it worked. Some 7 mo later, it needed cleaning again and this last time I replaced it because it did not seem to pulse and I was getting a loss of power episodes even after cleaning.
(Last Feb I had replaced the engine wiring harness also.)

So, the new valve from FastLane works fine, however, I still get episodic power loss.

Symptom: The engine does not gain full accelaration power, most notable uphill.
With the engine off, I open the gas filler cap and let the pressure out. Afterward, the car resumes normal operation.

This seems to happen on 3 week intervals. The car has about 59K miles and is not used alot.

No CEL or other codes generated.

So, rule out the harness and the regeneration/purge valve.

(actually this symptom ocurred with the old dirtied valve but at replacement time, the valve was not beating. Still no CEL reaction.- dash bulbs work BTW).

Thanks

Any ideas about this problem?
