I have a 2001 C230 Komp. Coupe and having some shifting issues. The car is an automatic and when it is shifting gears it seems to somewhat freewheel before going into each gear, much longer than normal. The car only does this when upshifting, when downshifting everything is normal. My friend put his tester on it and came up with a trouble code of P0700(Transmission Control System Malfunction). If anyone knows what this code means or what part I need to fix this problem that would be great. Thanks alot

That is a generic OBD2 code for a trans problem.

You need to have codes scanner from the TRANS computer for a correct diagnosis.

Has the trans been serviced??

I had the transmission serviced and I had a connector replaced that they said was bad to leak on the transmission. But this didn't fix the problem. Any ideas?

Like I said..codes from the trans computer is the ONLY way to start diagnosis.
