300e intermittant seat recline

Something like this happened to me with my 300e. Actually, I may have two problems. On the driver's seat, the seat back goes down all the way but will not go back up. The memory switch does return the seat to the correct position. Bad up wire? On my passenger seat, the seat back no longer moves at all even after replacing the switch assembly. Do these seats have fusible links in them?
