1993 300e 2.8
I just bought a 300E 2.8L. I restore MB from the 50's and early 60's, there for these newer cars are new to me. If anyone know's a lot about these and issues they have had and what to look for, it would be nice to let me know just so i have an idea to keep and eye on.
Thanks

Much history can be uncovered using the search function. Try a search using keywords such as "124 problems" and you'll get an eyefull. The M104 engine in your 1993 was only used 1993-1995 in the 124 chassis, so not everything that comes up will apply. Chassis problems are pretty much common across all model years of the 124. Happy reading.

You might also search for oil leaks at the right rear corner of the head gasket.
Also read up on wiring harness problems. Great car and a strong motor. That 2.8 liter engine was also used in the C280 from 1994-1997.

How many miles are on this non-vintage MB. M103 or M104 (DOHC)?
